Ingredients

  • 2 cup 
    Wheat flour, white, all-purpose, enriched, bleached
  • 1/4 cup 
    Sugar, granulated
  • 3 tsp 
    Leavening Agents
  • 1 tsp 
    Table Salt
  • 1 tsp 
    Ground Mace
  • 1/4 cup 
    Corn Oil
  • 3/4 cup 
    Whole Milk
  • 1 med 
    Egg

Directions

1. Sift together all the dry ingredients.

2. Then stir in all remaining ingredients, except the oil, and combine with a fork until thoroughly mixed.

3. Drop batter by the teaspoonful into a deep fryer with 1/4 cup hot oil, about 375 degrees.

4. Fry until golden brown, about 3 minutes.

5. Drain on paper towels, cool, and serve.
